Long Shadow is the passion project of Josey Markiewicz, a 30 year veteran of the Specialty Coffee community. Over the last few decades, he has enthusiastically explored nearly every facet of this expansive industry. He has gained a breadth of experience across the coffee supply chain, working everywhere from the coffee plantations of Haiti and South America, to some of the most notable cafes in North America. Operationally, he's played a key role in opening dozens of cafes nationwide while also developing successful coffee buying and roasting programs. He has designed and implemented innovative quality assurance protocols, coffee consistency databases, and barista training programs

Known for his artistic and poetic approach, Josey is passionate about creating more efficient and ethical pathways for inspired coffee sourcing, roasting, education and presentation
